Who is this guy at the Mineral Springs resort and why was he measuring a hotel chair with a tape measure?
Saw this guy at the hotel lobby tonight. He was literally on his hands and knees checking the hinge on a lounge chair with a tape measure, then he just pulled out a tiny screwdriver from his bag and fixed it before moving on to check the lamp brightness. He didn't even look like he was supposed to be working. Then he sat down with his partner, looked like he was vibrating with exhaustion but still kept fussing over their water glasses. Weirdest flex I've ever seen.
Is it a sign of a bad relationship or a good one? I’m so confused by his vibes.
Reply to clueless_tourist: Depends on if the person he's with actually asked for that, or if he's just projecting.
That’s definitely . He grew up around these hotels, doesn't surprise me he's picky about the furniture.
Reply to sara_toga_fan: Why is he fixing it though?
Wait, I think I recognize him. Isn't that the guy from the Vale & Finch firm? He’s basically known for being the only person who doesn't panic when a brownstone project falls apart.
Reply to design_nerd_99: A designer doing free maintenance on a resort chair? That’s next-level perfectionism.
I need to know—did the partner even notice, or are they just used to him being like this?
He just looks like he needs someone to tell him to put the tools away and just sit down.
His boss once told him to stop being a concierge in his own love life, and looking at this, I see exactly what she meant.
I feel like he’s one of those people who care about everything too much and never actually ask for help for himself.
I saw him too. His hands were shaking a little? Like he’d just had a massive argument or a really intense family dinner. He looked like he was trying to hold himself together by fixing everything he touched.
