the studio guy who talks to cats more than people
stood outside the bodega for twenty minutes tonight. just watching this guy with the silver lip piercing. he walked up, ignored every human trying to get his attention, and sat on the curb. he spent the whole time feeding the local stray cat some high-end wet food from a tiny bowl he brought himself. the cat was acting like a complete jerk and he just sat there smiling, quiet as anything. he didn't say a single word to anyone. how does someone so intimidating become a total softie for a cat with half an ear?
does he ever actually speak? like, has anyone heard his voice besides a studio client?
Reply to lost_in_waves: it's deep. and it's quiet. kinda like he's afraid to break the silence.
can confirm. he works at the studio off bedford. he's terrifying when he's behind the console—he doesn't even talk, he just points at the faders until you get the sound right. seeing him smile at a cat is messing with my head.
Reply to studio_rat_99: lol wait until you see him on his balcony. he just stares at the sky for hours. always looks like he's waiting for someone to show up.
man works 16 hours a day and you're all surprised he prefers cats to people? sound engineering is loud, guys. he just wants quiet.
he looks so lonely in that photo. but then he's looking at the cat like it's his best friend.
people act like he's cold, but he just hates small talk. he's not rude, he's just... busy living in his own head.
he's . good luck getting a word out of him though.
that cat is a menace. i tried to pet him once and he hissed at me. how did he get him to stay so still?
yo that's the guy who mixes half the indie records in the borough, right? dude is basically a legend in the studio and a total ghost outside of it.
