does anyone know why the guy who lives by the coast is always at the cliffs?
Saw the regular, you know the one—black jacket, vintage camera—down at the rocky edge again today. It was pouring rain, and he was just standing there staring at the tide like he was waiting for a ghost. He left a bunch of orange lilies on a wet rock and didn't move for an hour. It’s a bit eerie, honestly. Anyone else seen him act like this? Is he okay?
it’s sad. the way he ignores the world makes me want to force him to look at a sunset or something bright.
Reply to anonymous: don't. he’d probably just walk away into the fog.
i've seen him there every tuesday. he never takes a photo of the lilies. he only looks at them like they're the only thing that exists.
Reply to oceanwaves88: maybe they're a memorial? the intensity is way too much for it to just be an art thing.
is it really just black and white? the sea is so beautiful in color, i don't understand why he limits himself.
honestly the vibe there was so heavy i didn't even want to get closer.
he buys coffee from me sometimes. always black. never says more than two words. i've wondered about the lilies for years.
look at the way he holds that camera. he isn't shooting to sell, he's shooting to remember. there's a difference.
i tried to say hi once when he was walking back to town and he looked right through me like i was a wall. not mean, just... elsewhere.
it's . he works in that tiny darkroom nearby. i've heard he's obsessed with capturing something that isn't there anymore.
