Spotted: Our favorite Chief Surgeon looking absolutely miserable in the hospital cafeteria again.

So I was grabbing a late shift coffee and walked past the ortho lounge. Saw him sitting there in the dark, just staring at a cold cup of takeout. It’s midnight, he’s a Chief, but he looked like he was waiting for someone who wasn't coming. He didn't even look up when someone walked by, just kept checking his phone. This is like the third time this week he's missed the staff dinner to 'rest.' Anyone know if he’s actually sick or just... avoiding home life?

I work the front desk. I’ve seen him leave his keys on the counter for guests before. The guy is definitely holding space for someone.

Reply to night_shift_coffee: Wait, did you see who the guest was?

He works insane hours, give the man a break. Maybe he just likes the silence?

Reply to ortho_stan: Silence? He’s clearly waiting for someone. He checks his phone every thirty seconds.

It’s the eyes for me. He looks like he’s about to break. Does anyone actually know if he's married?

Or maybe he's just a workaholic who doesn't like his house? Not everything is a romance movie.

If he's sick, why is he still in the office at midnight? That's not normal behavior for a surgeon of his rank.

That's , isn't it? He's supposed to be at home, he was complaining about a fever during the morning rounds.

Honestly? I think he’s pining. Haven't you noticed how he looks at the hospital entrance whenever he’s leaving?

Wait, I saw him at 2 AM on Tuesday doing the exact same thing. He looked so pale I almost asked if he needed an IV. He’s definitely not okay.
