Saw the weirdest thing at the market today: a girl in oversized pajamas trying to pay for a bag of candy with a random assortment of silver coins and a nervous curtsy.
So I was grabbing coffee near the edge of the Blackwood trails when I saw her. She looked like she had just rolled out of bed—literally wearing this big, soft-looking cotton shirt—but she was walking like she was gliding through a royal ballroom. She stopped at the candy stall, stared at a bag of those cheap neon gummies, and looked absolutely terrified to just pick them up. When she finally grabbed them, she apologized to the merchant like she’d committed a crime. Then she pulled out these old silver coins, counted them three times, and scurried off before anyone could say a word. I’ve never seen someone look so confused by a simple bag of sugar. Is she a recluse or just the most sheltered person on the planet?
This is definitely . I’ve seen her sketches in the royal bulletin, but she looks way more relaxed now than in those stuffy portraits.
Reply to Citizen_Alpha: Wait, the noble lady is just eating cheap candy now?
Is that the runaway daughter? The one who was supposed to marry the Second Prince before the big poisoning scandal?
Reply to GossipQueen_x: Pretty sure. She vanished into the Blackwood. Nobody goes in there. Nobody comes out.
I saw her too! She walked past the fountain and kept trying to curtsy at a stray cat. It was honestly kind of heartbreaking.
Reply to StreetWatcher_99: A curtsy at a cat? Okay, she’s definitely not from around here.
That 'lounge' set is actually ridiculously high quality cotton, even if it looks basic. Who’s keeping her?
I wonder if she’s actually happy or just scared out of her mind. She looks like a bird that doesn't know how to fly yet.
It’s probably just a lookalike. No noble daughter would be caught dead in that fabric.
She was shaking so hard when she handed over the money. She kept looking back at the trees like someone was going to yell at her for buying them.
Wait, those coins... the markings on them look like the old Ducal currency from the Capital High District. That house has been totally disgraced for months.
