I wasn't ignoring anyone. academic buildings have a no-phone rule. I thought everyone actually followed it. found out today that apparently no. just me. kind of embarrassing, but not fully regretting it. at least I don't spend the whole day looking at screenshots. if someone important messages me, though, I might start checking once at lunch.
