So my roommate's mom just showed up unannounced again and honestly... I'm confused.

She didn't call, she didn't text, she just showed up with a camera bag and a bag of artisan coffee beans. She's currently sitting on the kitchen counter, rearranging the spices to catch the 'better golden hour light' and asking me if I want to ditch my afternoon study session for a road trip to the coast. I don't even know her that well. She's acting like we're college roommates going on spring break. Is it just me, or is this a bit much for a mom to do?

Pretty sure this is . She has a whole portfolio online. Kinda eccentric, but she definitely makes people feel seen.

Reply to detective_pogee: Wait, is she actually fun to hang out with or is it just overwhelming?

I mean, if my mom was this cool and chill, I'd probably be less annoyed. Maybe she's just lonely?

Reply to tea_time_99: It's all fun until she tries to be your best friend. Boundaries exist for a reason.

Those are high-end beans. At least she brought good coffee?

I know the daughter. She finds this extremely exhausting. Trust me, the 'spontaneous' bit is an act to avoid the empty house.

Honestly? She looks like she's just trying to feel young again. Let her live.

Tell her to get off the counter. The granite isn't for sitting. This is exactly why I don't let parents visit my place.

Look at the gear she's rocking. That's a serious lens. Maybe she's not just a 'random mom,' she looks like she's actually talented.

Wait, is this the lady who was spotted at the downtown cafe last week trying to take candid street photos of literal strangers? She seems like she's having a mid-life crisis or something.
