the girl in 14B isn't as 'asleep' as she pretends

Saw my neighbor tonight through her window. She was curled up on the couch, laptop glowing, but the second she heard footsteps in the hall, she dropped the screen and pulled the duvet over her head like she was dead to the world. A minute later? Phone out, glowing bright, and she’s just staring at it with this… weirdly focused look. Not like she’s watching a show. It’s like she’s waiting for a text from someone who isn’t in the room.

Wait, the illustrator? If she’s married, who is she waiting for? This is messy.

Reply to GossipQueen: Maybe ask her yourself?

Maybe she’s just gaming? My wife does this whenever she’s hiding her gacha addiction lol.

Reply to Lurker_99: That’s not a game face. That’s anticipation.

The way she hides it is the craziest part. She’s obviously playing a game, but who’s the opponent?

I'd give anything to see what’s on that screen.

Does anyone know if she’s actually alone in there? That apartment looks huge for one person.

This is just sad. Domestic life is boring for some people, I guess.

Is she a designer? I think I recognize that workspace setup. It looks like the same one uses for her sketches.

I live in this building too, and I swear I see that blue light every single night. It’s haunting.
