Spotted: The Northern Commander trying to peel a grape with metal-clad claws.
I was at the Citadel cafe today and saw the Vanguard Commander sitting in a corner booth by herself. She was staring at a bowl of fruit with the kind of focus you’d usually reserve for a battlefield strategy session. She kept picking up these tiny grapes, but she was wearing these massive, heavy-duty leather gloves. Every time she tried to peel one, she’d end up crushing it into a purple smear on the table. She looked so frustrated, she actually let out this low, rattling growl that made the waitstaff run for the exit. Then she just pulled a delicate lace handkerchief out of her pocket and started smoothing it out, looking like she was about to cry from stress.
It’s a disgrace to the Council. A beast at the table with lace? It’s unnatural.
Reply to Imperial_Noble_Watcher: Cry more, Helga’s fanclub.
That is absolutely the Commander of the Vanguard Legion. I’ve seen her lead a formation of five hundred, and she looked less stressed then.
Reply to IronHeart_Fan: Wait, really? She’s legendary in the North. Why is she struggling with fruit?
Does she actually have a soft spot, or is this just some weird tactical performance?
Can confirm, I was working the counter. The growl was terrifying, but then she turned bright red and tucked the handkerchief away like it was a state secret.
Those aren't just normal gloves. Those are armored, padded gauntlets for heavy combat. Of course she can't peel a grape.
If you want to know what’s actually going on, maybe just ask her directly. is supposedly the one behind the legend.
Don't talk about her like that. She’s probably doing it for a loved one. Have you seen the way she guards the Northern perimeter?
I’ve heard she’s been trying to play house with some human lately. Probably trying to learn human etiquette and failing hard. It’s kinda pathetic.
