I was pulling an all-nighter in the executive wing of the Vane Global offices and saw the 'perfect intern' still there. She was hunched over her desk, but not working on spreadsheets. She had this tiny, worn piece of paper in her hand—looked like a coffee cup sleeve or a scrap of a sticky note—and she was just... tracing the handwriting on it with her thumb for like ten minutes. Then she started tapping her blouse button and looking at the elevator like she was expecting someone to walk in. When a supervisor walked by, she snapped back to 'perfect mode' so fast it was creepy. Does anyone know what's up with her?
The way she touches that button is a nervous tic, for sure. Who is she waiting for? That's the real tea.
