Anyone else seen the 'housewife' ghost wandering the porch?
So I was driving through the quiet side of the neighborhood today and saw this woman just standing by her front door, staring at nothing for like twenty minutes. She’s wearing this super thick cream turtleneck even though it’s honestly not that cold out, and she just looks... frozen? Every time a car passes, she looks like she’s about to wave, but then she just clutches her sweater and retreats inside. It’s the third time this week I’ve seen her doing this weird lingering thing. Does she actually live there, or is she just waiting for someone who isn't coming home?
Maybe she’s just waiting for a delivery? People do that.
Reply to cynical_observer: For twenty minutes? No way.
Wait, is that ? My neighbor said she’s a newlywed. The guy she married is never home, total workaholic type.
Reply to neighborhood_watch_dog: That checks out. I saw her yesterday looking like she’d been crying over a burnt pastry. It’s honestly sad.
I wonder if she even knows her stepkid? The whole situation sounds like a trap.
It’s just a lady on a porch. Stop reading into it.
Could she be looking for someone to talk to? She looks so desperate for a distraction.
The way she holds that sweater, she looks like she’s trying to disappear. It’s kind of heart-wrenching.
She’s not a ghost, she’s just incredibly lonely. Why would anyone marry someone if they’re just going to leave them in a big empty house?
I walk my dog past that house all the time. She’s definitely living there, but it looks like a tomb. I’ve seen her staring out the window for hours.
