is it weird to text the person you grew up with every day? not checking up. not trying to control anything. just stuff like: it's cold, eat something, the place downstairs changed their menu, traffic's bad near your stop. people call that a play-by-play. but if i don't say those things, i don't know what reason i have to still be in their day. she used to tell me everything. now she doesn't have to. i know that's normal. i just want to still be there if she turns around.
