Saw the new resident at the grocery store today and... what was that?

I was in the bakery aisle earlier and saw this woman just standing there, staring at a tray of muffins like she was waiting for them to say something. She was wearing this super thick, tight cream turtleneck, which seemed way too hot for a rainy Seattle Tuesday. She kept adjusting it, looking around constantly to see if anyone was watching, then she’d just sigh and reach for the same muffin box again. She seemed so desperate for someone to walk by and notice her—literally lingering in the narrowest part of the aisle like she was blocking traffic on purpose. Is she trying to be seen or just lost?

It’s definitely . I recognize the hair. Why is she so quiet though? It’s suspicious.

Reply to GossipQueen: Suspicious? Maybe she’s just shy.

Wait, I’ve seen her! She was buying fancy baking supplies at 6 AM last week. Like, who starts baking soufflés before sunrise?

Reply to BakeOffFanatic: Maybe she just wants someone to come home to a fresh house?

If I had that house to myself, I'd be doing way more than standing in an aisle. She seems like she's waiting for permission to exist.

Does she actually want attention or is she just waiting for her husband to notice she’s even there?

She isn't 'blocking traffic', she’s waiting. I’ve seen her waiting by that door for hours.

I wouldn't call it 'desperate.' She’s just trying to fit into a neighborhood where she doesn't know anyone yet.

She looks so lonely it actually hurts. Has anyone tried saying hi?

That’s the house on Miller Road, right? My friend says the husband is never home. Poor thing is probably just bored out of her mind.
