Brooklyn girl literally threatening her best friend with a marriage license at a cafe.
So I’m at this coffee shop in Williamsburg, just trying to read, when these two walk in. The girl in the messy bun was basically vibrating with energy, practically shoving a stack of legal forms in front of the other girl and saying, 'We’ve been besties for twenty years, you literally owe me the rest of your life, just sign it!' She didn't even look embarrassed? She was just grinning like it was the most normal thing in the world, while the other one looked like she was trying not to laugh (or panic). I’m not sure if this is some weird avant-garde proposal or the most chaotic act of friendship I've ever witnessed.
This feels like a massive prank. Who takes marriage paperwork to a coffee shop?
Reply to SkepticalSam: You clearly don't know her. She’s probably been planning this for a decade.
Wait, I know her. That’s Chloe, isn't it? She lives for this kind of dramatic bit.
Reply to Brooklyn_Local_92: Wait, is her tag ? I swear she’s a designer in the neighborhood.
Update: They left together right after. The papers were definitely still on the table.
I feel like I'm witnessing a crime or a beautiful romance and I can't decide which.
That hoodie looks so comfy though. Is it hers or did she steal it?
Why is the other girl just sitting there taking it though??
I work with her. This is actually standard behavior. She once followed someone into a meeting room just to 'inhale their scent' because she was stressed.
I was there! She actually said 'If you don't sign this I'm going to bite your shoulder' right after that. I thought it was a joke but she sounded terrifyingly serious.
