Is the neighbor in 302 okay? She was standing in her dark kitchen just staring at the wall.
So I was walking my dog past the complex around 9 tonight. I look up and see the lady in 302—the one who always has the best flower boxes—just standing there in her kitchen. The lights were off except for that soft amber glow over the stove. She wasn't cooking, she wasn't on her phone, she was just standing there with her hand on the counter, perfectly still. Then she slowly reached up and tucked her hair behind her ear, but the way she looked at the front door... it was like she was waiting for a ghost. She looks like the most put-together woman in the zip code during the day. Does anyone actually know what her life is like behind those heavy curtains?
I don't think that's it. She didn't look stressed, she looked... empty.
Reply to GossipQueen: You're overthinking it.
I see her at pilates every Tuesday. She’s the sweetest lady, always brings snacks for everyone. This seems so out of character.
Reply to OakParkLocal: Maybe she just had a long day?
Maybe her husband is finally coming home and she's stressing? That's what I'd bet.
She looked like she was waiting for something to happen. It was creepy.
The apartment is always so spotless when the son is around. When he leaves, the whole vibe just shifts. It's weird.
She’s always so poised at the school functions. This is actually kind of sad to see.
Wait, is this ? I recognize that sweater from the neighborhood bake sale.
Her husband is never even there. Can you blame her for being a bit checked out?
