Does anyone know the woman in the blue turtleneck who haunts the Bellevue cul-de-sac?
I walk my dog past that corner house almost every night around 11 PM. The street is dead quiet, but she’s always standing by the window. She just stares out into the dark like she’s waiting for something that’s never going to pull into the driveway. Tonight, she looked like she was about to cry, but then she saw me and fixed her face into that perfect, tight smile. I’ve never seen her with anyone else, just that blue sweater and a look of complete, hollow exhaustion. It’s haunting.
That house has been listed in my brain as 'unhappy' for years. Is it just the husband, or is there more to the story?
Reply to RealEstateSpy: There’s always more, honey.
Oh, that’s the house on 4th. The husband is never home, just parked cars and silence. I feel for her.
Reply to SuburbanWatcher: She keeps it way too clean for someone who clearly hates it there.
I wonder if she ever talks to anyone? Like, actually talks?
She’s just lonely. Let her look out the window in peace.
I drive by there too! She never leaves the lights on past midnight.
The way she holds her shoulders is so tense. Like she's waiting for a bomb to go off.
Everyone in that neighborhood is miserable, but she takes the cake for 'perfect housewife' misery.
Wait, is this ? I swear I’ve seen that same sweater at the store, she looks like she’s trying so hard to be invisible.
