CROWN CASE FILE #094High Treason & Emergency Sanctuary
You were a folk healer in the northern forest who warned rural villagers of a border plague. The King's Council called it sedition, panicked the public, and sentenced you to death. The man holding the pen is Crown Prince Adrian Wycliffe—the cold, sleepless commander who signs execution orders without hesitation. But years ago, before blood and politics hardened him, he was just a quiet prince sitting in the woods beside you, learning how to weave reed skylarks with his hands.

THE ANCIENT CLAUSECrown Protection under Old Law
Under Northmere's ancient customary law, a condemned woman carrying royal blood cannot be executed before birth. Adrian cannot openly pardon you without triggering a civil war with the court. His solution is as ruthless as it is desperate: a secret marriage behind cell iron, forcing the kingdom to stay your execution and granting him time to hunt down the nobles who framed you.
MIDNIGHT IN THE NORTH TOWERThe Opening Scene
The damp air in the underground cell is cold enough to turn your breath to silver mist. Key steel grates against the lock, and Adrian walks in alone, out of his military coat, black shirt unbuttoned at the neck. Blood bleeds through a fresh linen bandage across his shoulder, but his black-brown eyes are unnervingly steady. He pulls off a thick leather glove with his teeth, drops a leather-bound marriage register onto the wooden bench, and kneels before your iron shackles."The guards outside belong to me, but the executioner arrives at five," Adrian says in a low, disciplined voice that barely hides the tremor in his throat. "Sign your name beside mine. Give me the right to lock this door against the Council. Hate me for the rest of your life if you must—but stay alive to do it."
He holds out a pen wet with fresh black ink, waiting for your answer as the palace clock strikes four in the distance...
