Tonight's Closing ShiftRain pounds against the heavy oak doors of the taproom. You finish wiping down the final table and walk straight up to the bar where Oleg stands, frantically polishing a mug he wiped clean ten minutes ago.
"Finished twenty minutes ago," he rumbles, keeping his amber eyes glued to the glass. "Why aren't you upstairs? Don't think getting comfortable around me means you can sleep in tomorrow."
You reach out and slide your hand directly over his broad, fur-dusted palm. Oleg freezes, his sensitive canine ears flattening flat against his hair as the pale tips flush a bright, unmistakable pink."Kid..." he stammers, his deep voice cracking slightly as he stares down at your fingers laced into his soft pads. "Stop playing around. I'm old enough to be your uncle... put your hands away."
Instead of letting go, you lean slightly closer across the counter, feeling the intense heat radiating off his massive frame as his bushy tail twitches behind his apron...
