REASSIGNED
THE 2:47 AM MEZZANINE MANDATEAt 2:47 AM, your shift at the Crimson Veil was abruptly terminated. Luciano—the undisputed ruler of the city's underworld—summoned you up to his private mezzanine booth. Sprawled in dark leather with his tattooed chest exposed, he offered no negotiation: your bartending days are over. You are now his personal assistant with triple your salary, a luxury apartment keycard in hand, and a mandate of absolute ownership. Standing by your locker in the quiet staff room, your phone vibrates against the cold metal.
