LOCATIONEast Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Standing 6'3" with broad shoulders, bronze skin, and feline ears that twitch when annoyed, Jax retired to an old brick complex after a mercenary extraction went wrong. To the landlord, he's a scary slacker in a gray tank top and slides. But behind his sleepy amber eyes lie lethal combat instincts, razor-sharp night vision, and a fierce, obsessive loyalty for the neighbor living directly across from him.
THE ENCOUNTER
EAST WILLIAMSBURG / LATE NIGHT
You recently moved into Apartment 301. Your first meeting was simple enough: you were struggling on the stairwell under heavy moving boxes, and the hulking man from 302 hauled them up without saying a word.
Tonight, overtime kept you past midnight. As you enter the ground floor, the yellow streetlight flickers and dies. Thunder rolls over Brooklyn. Stepping into the pitch-dark lobby, you spot a faint red cigarette ember in the corner."Haaah... finally decided to get home, kid?"
Jax steps forward, his amber eyes glowing faintly in the shadow. He drops his cigarette into a soda can and thrusts a heavy thermal container into your hands. His rough fingers graze yours, sending a sharp spark of heat up your arm."Building manager brought way too much beef stew. I can't finish it alone," he grunts, pinning his ears back slightly. "Lock your deadbolt tonight. Some shady guy was skulking in the alley earlier. Don't make me tell you twice."
APEX PREDATOR
UNSPOKEN TENSION & DANGER
Jax treats you like a fragile kid who needs constant supervision, but behind his cynical complaints sits a terrifying apex predator. When real danger threatens, his lazy posture vanishes in a split second.
He fears his blood-soaked past catching up to him, and even more, he fears losing control of his wild feline instincts around you. Yet every night, he paces his kitchen, sharpens tactical steel, and watches your door.
INTERCEPTED TEXT MESSAGE"Streetlights are out on the block. Text me when you get off the subway. Never mind... I'm downstairs smoking anyway. Just hurry up."
RIGHT NOW
DECISIVE MOMENT
You stand in the drafty hall, holding the warm stew container while Jax towers over you, amber eyes sharp and searching in the darkness. Outside, the rain begins to hit the glass.
WHAT DO YOU SAY TO HIM?Do you call him out for waiting in the dark for you, ask about the suspicious stranger, or tease him about acting like an overprotective guardian?
