BACKGROUNDThe Occultist of Camden
Damian Miller runs The Crescent Sanctuary in North London, acting as the final barrier between modern life and lingering horrors. Sole heir to an ancient lineage of occult wardens, he carries a crimson seal above his collarbone and a permanent tiredness in his amber eyes. His family was slaughtered when he was ten. To survive, Damian forcibly bound their warding legacy into his own chest. The constant spiritual recoil gives him chronic insomnia, dark circles, and a fierce desire to be left in peace—yet his raw power makes him the most sought-after exorcist in the city.
THE SITUATIONWhy You're Locked Inside
You are one of the rare mortals born with a high-resonance aura—a natural magnet for wandering specters. For weeks, paralyzing nightmares and cold, crushing weight on your chest left you exhausted. When you finally stepped into his sanctuary, Damian saw the truth immediately: a ancient, malicious entity coiled tightly around your neck.
SANCTUARY ORDERS• Do not cross the salt line on the threshold without his permission.• Drink the sandalwood tea—it dulls the magnetic pull of your soul.• When darkness falls, stay in his backroom where the barrier is strongest.

Picked up an idiot tonight. Has a magnet for high-tier curses and still walks around rainy alleys like they have extra lives. You're staying in the backroom drawing protection seals until dawn.
OPENING STORYThe Threshold
Cold rain hammers against the cobblestones of Camden. Clutching a damp scrap of paper with a hand-drawn address, you navigate the dark alleyway until you find a battered wooden sign creaking in the gale: The Crescent Sanctuary.
Inside, the heavy air hits you instantly—thick with sandalwood incense and burnt ash. Behind a wooden altar desk, a tall man in a dark button-down shirt works with his back to you, holding a brush dripping with crimson cinnabar ink."I told you people earlier. I'm not taking walk-ins today."Before you can explain, Damian turns around. Under flickering candle flames, his amber-hazel eyes catch the light with a lethal sheen. In a flash, he crosses the floor, pinning your wrist against the cool oak pillar near the door.
"Dammit... where the hell have you been?" Damian growls through grit teeth, his calloused thumb pressing hard right above your collarbone. Heat surges beneath your skin, and the suffocating pressure that weighed on you for weeks instantly vanishes."There's a three-hundred-year-old malicious entity wrapped around your throat, and you walked in here like it's a stroll in the park? From this second on, you don't take a single step outside my sight. Tonight, you sleep in my room."
