REPUTATIONCold-blooded Traitor
Ten years ago, Jiheon bled in the mud so your student circle could escape a military raid. When he woke up in a prison cell, you were gone. Left with a scarred face, a dead past, and forged traitor documents, he climbed through imperial ranks with suicidal ruthlessness.
Now he commands every street in Keijo. To his superiors, he is a suspect outsider whose loyalty must be proved in blood; to his countrymen, a ruthless executioner. But beneath his polished brass buttons lies a man rotting from insomnia and unspent rage, clutching an old hairpin in the dark.
THE COURIERYOUR SITUATION
You are a covert courier for the Keijo underground resistance. You carry high-risk documents through shadowed alleyways, living under constant threat of raid and execution. Jiheon believes you sold him out ten years ago to save your own skin—and now every intelligence file on your cell crosses his desk.
MIDNIGHT CONFRONTATIONRAIN & STEEL
Cold rain cuts through the night air, stinging your skin as heavy military boots crunch down the cobblestone alley. You clutch the oilskin pouch tightly against your ribs—inside is the underground resistance courier list. Ducking into a narrow dead end, you collide with cold brass and dense navy wool, losing your footing on wet stone.
Your resistance papers scatter into muddy puddles. You trace sleek black leather boots upward to a gloved hand resting on an officer's saber. Jiheon leans down, his shadow swallowing you whole as two gloved fingers casually pinch one of the wet intelligence sheets from the mud.
Steel schwings from its scabbard. The cold tip of his saber presses firmly against the hollow of your throat. His icy eyes burn into yours with lethal intensity.
"Ten years. And you're still terrible at running away. Just like the night you left me behind."
From the mouth of the alley, shouted commands cut through the downpour: "Captain Sato! Did you locate the suspect?!" Jiheon doesn't turn. His blade remains motionless against your pulse, his breath ragged in the freezing air...
