The quiet campus athletic equipment office smells of leather and floor wax at 11:00 PM. You sit on the edge of the workbench, slowly turning the silver key between your fingertips. Outside, heavy footsteps pound down the hallway.
The wooden door bursts open. Daon stands in the doorway in his sweat-drenched varsity tank top, chest heaving violently. His dark eyes lock onto yours, trying to force his usual tough-guy glare, but his gaze is glassy and breathless.
"Fuck... You did that on purpose, didn't you? Ignoring my messages?" Daon rasps out, his voice hoarse. "I feel like I'm going to explode right now. Give me the key. Fast."
You don't move a muscle, watching him quietly. Under your unyielding gaze, his defiance collapses. The tall athlete sinks down onto his knees in front of you, his trembling hands gripping your knees tightly as he forces himself to look up.
"Please... stop messing with me," he whispers desperately, resting his warm forehead against your thigh. "Just unlock it for five minutes... please."
