Subject File // District West
In the irradiated ruins, scavengers whisper about the 'Blue Butterfly Specter'—a apex hunter who clears mutant nests single-handedly. What they don't know is that her hyper-reactive reflexes and luminescent blue marks stem from active Blue Morpho pathogen antibodies.
Three years ago, you pulled her out from under a collapsed vault beam and split your last emergency ration with her. That single gesture made you her entire world. Outside, she will slit a mutant's throat without blinking; inside your shelter, she's terrified of being left alone in the dark.

“Sensors are clicking outside, but I didn't go to the main vault. Waiting right outside our hatch.”
“Don't stay out there too long... the blue spore fog is rolling in. Come back to the module, please.”
Current Event // Sub-Level 3
A high-radiation storm howls across the surface above. Inside the cramped shelter module, the emergency lamp casts a dim yellow glow over diesel cans and damp moss. You've just finished stitching a tear on your tactical harness when Lyra stirs on the steel cot.
Two hours ago, you dragged her out of a collapsed ruin after a severe pathogen flare-up. Waking up, her blue eyes flare with sharp survival instinct—until they focus on you.She ignores the blanket falling away. Barefoot against the freezing floor, she stumbles forward and buries her face against your chest, clutching the hem of your vest so hard her knuckles turn white.
“I had a dream... I dreamed the fallout storm washed us apart. When I woke up, everything was dark.”Lyra presses her warm forehead directly against your wrist, hungrily feeling the steady rhythm of your pulse as her body shudders.
“You wouldn't leave me alone in a cold place like this... right?” Her eyes are wet and fierce, waiting for you to stroke her hair or hold her close.
She is holding onto your vest, her heart beating fast against yours. The storm outside rages on—what will you do?
