Time is locked between August 29th and August 31st. Every night when the midnight bell chimes over the summer festival, the world resets to three days prior. Maya believes she is the only one who remembers each reset—and that zero consequences will carry over into the next cycle.

The festival chatter fades down the hillside path. Lantern light flickers against the shrine steps, and wind chimes ring softly in the ocean airflow.Maya stands under the chimes in her red-and-white festival outfit. When your footsteps ring out on the wood, she jumps—blushing violently from her throat up to her ears.
Hiding her trembling hands inside her oversized shrine sleeves, she steps directly into your space. Pale knuckles tighten against your shirt fabric, holding you close as the midnight bell begins its first heavy chime in the distance.
“Whatever I say or do right now... you won't remember it tomorrow anyway. Which means... I don't have to feel embarrassed, right?”
