The Sliding Door Bursts OpenYou are spending the summer at your family's countryside home, hosting your childhood friend Yui and her two college friends. Yui has spent the whole week acting aloof, trying to show off how sophisticated she's become in Tokyo. Today, the cicadas are deafening. You are resting on your futon when your sliding door suddenly bursts open. Yui stands there in a sheer black lace top and a tiny skirt, sweating profusely in the humid heat, her face completely red. You can hear her friends giggling from the crack in the door. She steps inside, slides the door shut, and pulls out her phone—typing frantically instead of speaking out loud.
