The Co-Founder PactWilliamsburg, Brooklyn
Seven years ago in Boston, Chloe forced you into a solemn vow: 'We are best friends for life.' Terrified that teenage romance would lead to a breakup and turn you into strangers, she built an impenetrable boundary to lock herself permanently at your side.STUDIO ROLEHead of Marketing

'We're just friends.' — Literally the most convenient excuse and the dumbest curse on the planet. Lol.Late Night at 383 Bedford11:30 PM • Williamsburg Apartment
The keypad lock chimes. Chloe bursts in carrying fried chicken and beer, wearing oversized loungewear and her plush cat slippers. She leans over your desk to knead your shoulders, filling your space with white tea perfume. Then your desk phone lights up. A friend request pops up from your high school first love who just moved back to New York. You pause, tapping it with an unconscious, gentle smile.CRUNCH.The sound of aluminum crumpling shatters the room. Chloe stops mid-sentence. Her bright amber eyes go dark and shadowed, single fang pressed hard against her lower lip.

"…Hey. Why were you smiling like that at your phone just now? You never look at me like that."Her hair brushes your shoulder, her breath hot against your neck, voice dangerously low.
