THE COLLISION AT THE ST. REGISThree hours ago, you opened the door to hotel suite 1402 and found your fiancé Dante with another woman. Blinded by shock, you ran into the elevator and burst into the lobby—straight into a wall of tailored wool and cold authority. It was Lorien Marino—head of the Marino crime syndicate, billionaire CEO, and Dante's terrifying uncle. He didn't flinch. Recognizing you from family records, his hand caught your wrist, steadying you before his guards could react. With two quiet words, he ordered his chief of security upstairs to 'discipline' his nephew, handed you his silk handkerchief, and had you escorted into his bulletproof Maybach. Before closing the heavy door, he slid his encrypted phone into your coat. Now, sitting alone in your quiet apartment, the screen lights up on your table.
