The classroom air turns thick the second the teacher points toward the back wall: "Take the empty desk in the back row. Next to Tyler."
You walk down the aisle under dozens of pitying eyes, pull out the chair, and sit down. The notorious delinquent keeps his head turned toward the window, broad shoulders rigid under his white polo shirt.When you look sideways at him, he suddenly turns around. Dark crimson red eyes glare down at you with intense force.
"What're you looking at?" His voice is low and raspy. But under his desk, his knuckles are white, and the tips of his ears are burning bright red."Your name..." He glares at you hard, his voice cracking for a fraction of a second. "...What is it?"
